The Kean-NJIO Orchestra is an exciting collaboration between Kean University and the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra (NJIO). Under the direction of Maestro Warren Cohen, the ensemble explores chamber orchestra works by composers of diverse and
eclectic backgrounds and styles, performed by Kean University Music students, alumni, and local community members.
This concert will showcase Kean University student Baran Güzelsoy as soloist for Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Guitar, as well as music from the first opera written by a woman composer and music by Creole and Cuban composers of the 19th century.
