Friends and Foes: Who Was the Real Salieri?

Join the Kean-NJIO Orchestra for Friends and Foes: Who Was the Real Salieri? as we explore the complex relationships between some of classical music’s most famous composers. Conducted by Warren Cohen, this concert delves into the rivalries and alliances that shaped their music, revealing who supported whom—and who did not.

The performance will feature Kean University faculty members Stephanie Ho and Saar Ahuvia in a rare performance of Kozeluch’s Piano Concerto for Four Hands and Orchestra, along with works by Bach and Mozart. The evening will also highlight Graupner’s Overture, featuring the historical sounds of the viola d’amore, played by Graham Cohen, and the oboe d’amore, played by Michelle Tolentino.

Don’t miss this exciting concert that combines great music with fascinating insights into the lives and relationships of the composers.
